Well, the answer is simple.

With my 101 canvases at “Lokame Tharavadu” (The World is One Family) organised Kochi Biennale

It’s your choice. Now, the question of why you want to join? Are you ready to change, throw your artsy ego in to the bin, learn new things and build around it? Would you like to grow with a new set of creative artists and a community of art collectors in this ever evolving decentralized metaverse landscape? If the answer is yes, read on and welcome to my NFT art journey. I am still not there yet, but you can get there eventually !

Story of a JPEG sold for 69million US$

It all started in early March. I happened to read the news of a JPEG sold by Christie’s for an unimaginable price. As usual, I ignored the story. Late evening of March 13th, I was hopping around the rooms in Clubhouse and stumbled into “The Good Time Show” hosted by the lovely couple Sriram Krishnan & Arathi Ramamurthy where Metakovan and Twobadour were spilling the beans on how they happened to purchase that JPEG for 69$M from Beeple.

Visual Artist vs NFT Artist

My curiosity towards NFTart was growing and every day was a learning experience! And it continues in the same manner. The only difficulty I had to face with NFT was processing the financial transaction between bank to exchange and then to wallet and the marketplace using your mobile phone and computer. Artists normally don’t normally find it easy to be in compliance with transactional procedures- for some compliance is death even! Well, not really!

I have been making art, both digital and I work on canvas and paper too. So, why not put my digital artwork up on the NFT marketplace and try it? That was my thought process and I have gone ahead and done it. But you can’t just end there. Now, I am not only an artist but a digital gallery owner of my NFTs and I need to find my own art collector in the marketplace. Yes, in the NFT art metaverse you are on your own to grow with the NFT community. It’s overwhelming and the new exciting challenges and struggle of the twenty first century artist has begun. So how about you, my artists friends?

My two NFTsProcess, procedure, putting it up

Popular and commercial culture always attracted my attention and heavily influenced me, being a visual communicator. Designing communications for the masses and analytically targeted audience is part of a day job; and creative-innovative personalities are a subject of discussion everywhere. Iconography and body of experience of popular and consumer culture is a base material for my art. It reflects the world we live in and resonates the forces of current technology and consumer behavior. My genesis and second NFTs are two popular influential personalities. One from the popular music and the other from innovative technology.

Recreational rings on Mars!

Elon Musk’s controversial recreational smoking video interview came to mind. At the end of the interview he said “people should be nicer to each other” and I could gather he was watching the smoke casually while entertaining the viewers. I could see the psychedelic rings blowing up in the air and to me, it transformed into starry night effect, kind of rainbow curls and curves and I started drawing it.

It’s all God’s plan!

Smiles, surprises, emotions and all good hearted giving away is happening in front of your eyes! Very much moving. One can’t ignore the act of kindness with a grace by Drake. Of course, it’s a little for show too but perfectly planned to popular attitudes around giving back and society.

Sometimes you feel good, sometimes you won’t. But then, they are wishing on you. Good or Bad. Never mind. It’s all God’s plan. Inspired from Drake’s giving away and the act of kindness.

Curly-curvy, wiggling and obscure handwritten lyrics moving around him with legitimate plans of good deeds. Yes it’s all God’s plan to make this NFT too. Drawing 25 frames while listening to God’s Plan was an invigorating experience!
